The goal of the IMIKO project is to explore efficient innovative cooperative solutions for interference minimizations between automotive radar sensors, which will introduce a scientific interference standard and advance the vision of autonomous driving depending on appropriate measurement technologies and test environments.
Moreover, the implementation of joint-radar-communications regarding Chirp-sequence based Radar will be investigated within the project, enabling the radar sensors to communicate easily and to eliminate the mutual malfunctions between each other. Afterwards, an initial communications standard will be proposed and smoothly integrated within the current infrastructure without any high complexity.
In addition, according to multiuser scenarios (scenarios include multiple radar sensors), the proposed standards, either for interference or for communications will be simulative analyzed and will get on with the complex wave propagation models with an adequate celerity.
In the end of the project, a demonstration-based FPGA will be presented and it will involve a primary version of the receiver concept for the radar communication.
