Jiexi Yin received the B.S. degree in applied physics from Ningbo University, Ningbo, China, in 2014 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2020. From October 2018 to September 2019, she was a visiting Ph.D. student with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. Following that, she further became a research fellow at ECE, NUS, from April 2021 to November 2022. In November 2022, she joined Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, as a Postdoc. She is a group leader of Institut für Hochfrequenztechnik und Elektronik (IHE) at KIT.

Jiexi Yin is the author or co-author of over 20 technical papers and holds 10 patents. In 2021, she was a section chair of the IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and the USNC-URSI Radio Science (APS) Meeting. She was also honored with the Student Paper Award of Marina Forum on Metantennas 2022. She is a reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, IEEE Access, and China Communications.

Her current research primarily focuses on the application of metamaterials in antenna design and the development of intelligent surfaces for next-generation communication systems.
