On June 24, 2025, Georg Gramlich successfully defended his thesis "Aerosol Jet and Ultra Precise Dispensing Printed Millimeter Wave Interconnects". In his research, he developped a process for ultra-broadband low-loss interconnects operating up to 330 GHz. They enable rapid prototyping and heterointegration for sub-THz applications. The reduced design cycles and significantly increased performance will benefit broadband 6G communication systems. A transfer project with innovative partners from the industry will start in the third quarter of 2025.
