Inhalt

Recent developments in integrated circuit technologies enable new applications in the millimeter-wave frequency bands (i.e. 30-300 GHz) for communication and sensing systems. The tendency is not only operating at higher frequency but is also utilizing higher bandwidth. This requires investigation of new transceiver architectures especially in the context of antenna arrays that are typically employed at mm-wave frequencies.

The goal of thesis project is investigating new true-time delay-based circuit architectures for mm-wave broadband applications and transistor-level design of TTD elements in state-of-the-art integrated circuit technologies such as SiGe, SOI CMOS and InP.
