Introduction
Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) has emerged as a cornerstone technology for enabling environmental awareness within cellular networks. This master’s thesis investigates a communication-centric ISAC framework, focusing on how network geometry and base station (BS) deployment influence sensing capabilities. The research includes topics such as the impact of BS location on sensing metrics, specifically target detection probability within monostatic configurations. Furthermore, the study explores multistatic sensing to evaluate how cooperative reception among distributed nodes enhances spatial resolution.
