Description:
Dielectric resonator antennas (DRA) becomes quite attractive at high frequency, due to their compact size, high efficiency and easy to integrate in the chip package. Typical DRAs application includes 6G mobile communication transceiver for the sub-THz frequency range, RADAR, satellite and sensing.
This thesis focuses on the analysis and identification of a DRA concept, that achieves medium gain and wide impedance in D-band (110-170GHz). The DRA geometry, material, and feeding technique must be investigated.
At high frequency, design, manufacturing precision, material characterization are crucial.
The work includes mathematical analysis, concept definition and simulation, prototype fabrication and experimental measurement.
Background: Strong electromagnetic & antenna, mathematical and physics.
