- Introductory event: 28.04.2025, as part of the lecture “Electronic Circuits” ("Elektronische Schaltungen").
- Registration deadline in the Wiwi-Portal is Friday, 06.06.2025, 23:55.
Attention: Late registrations cannot be accepted! - Course period from Monday, 09.06.2025 to Friday, 27.06.2025.
- Question Time 1: 17.06.2024, 14:00 h - 15:30 h.
- Question Time 2: 26.06.2024, 15:45 h - 17:15 h.
Implementation:
The students form groups of 3 people. In these groups, the given tasks are solved together. The process takes place via the ILIAS learning platform, forums and a wiki. The students help each other. The students receive active support from specially trained academic assistants in the form of consultation hours and in the forums. In addition, academic staff from the participating institutes are available for further assistance.
Registration for the group allocation:
To take part in the workshop, please register for the event in the Wiwi-Portal. You will be given the opportunity to form groups of 3 people. All incomplete groups and individual registrations will be automatically merged after the registration period has expired. Registration in ILIAS takes place automatically after the end of the registration period in the Wiwi-Portal.
Please note the registration deadlines in the Wiwi-Portal.

Brief description and learning objectives:
Different sensors are analyzed in this course. In addition to the general functionality and theory of temperature, light or pressure sensors, suitable electronics are examined in order to convert the physical quantities into a proportional, evaluable quantity such as voltage or current. The course covers simple sensor principles in order to adapt the necessary prior knowledge for carrying out the experiment to the semester. Temperature-dependent resistors are used for temperature measurement or PN junctions are investigated. Applications for brightness measurement are realized with LEDs, photodiodes and phototransistors. Independent experiments are carried out according to the following steps: understanding the sensor principle, design of evaluation circuits for the sensor signal, simulation of the circuits in LTSpice, construction and comparison of circuits and evaluation with the µController board.
