Ahmet Cagri Ulusoy received the B.Sc. degree from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2006, the M.Sc. degree from Ulm University, Ulm, Germany, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Electron Devices and Circuits, Ulm University, in 2012, all in Electrical Engineering. From 2012 to 2015, he was with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, as a Research Engineer. From 2015 to 2016, he was the Team Leader of the Broadband Mixed-Signal ICs Group at IHP, Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. From 2016 to 2019, he was an Assistant Professor with the Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, USA. In January 2019, he became a full professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and the co-director of the institute of radio-frequency engineering and electronics.

A. Cagri Ulusoy's research interests are in the broad area of high-frequency integrated circuits and systems and he has authored or co-authored over 100 publications in this field. Dr. Ulusoy was the recipient and co-recipient of several best paper awards. His dissertation was received the Südwestmetall Young Scientist Award. He is a member of Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, member of Technical Committee 6, he serves as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Microwave Wireless Component Letters, and TPC chair of IEEE Topical Meeting on Silicon Monolithic Integrated Circuits in RF Systems (2018 & 2019) and TPC chair of IEEE International Conference on Microwaves for Intelligent Mobility.

His main areas of specialization are
    • CMOS frontend electronics for millimeter-wave systems,
    • Optoelectronic ICs for emerging Ethernet standards,
    • High-power amplifiers in SiGe and GaN technologies.
